This was one of the first major renovations projects that we took on in our house. Above are after shots. I was about 8 months pregnant when we started this project. I know, we're crazy...
The bathroom was pretty hideous to start, very 70's, as you can see.
Jim started by taking down all the ugly blue tile and put up some bead boardwainscoting.
There goes the tub.
A new sink and some new fixtures...
This is all the demolition from that little bathroom!! And the finished bathroom again.
I repainted Nora's room recently. It used to be a raspberry pink above the molding and white below. The dark pink was getting on my nerves so I decided to do this more subdued pink. I like it but I need to do some more things on the walls. I think now it looks a little sterile...
It was a beautiful day here on Sunday, actually got up in the mid 50's! The kids wanted to be outside but we still have almost a foot of snow on the grounds so we headed down to RI. We went to Fort Wetherillin Jamestown, RI. It had some beautiful views of Newport Harbor and the kids had a great time exploring. We went into the Fort a little bit but they were very dark and a little creepy so we spent most of our time on the cliffs enjoying the beautiful views...
I decided to treat myself this morning. We weren't in a rush to go anywhere so instead of the usual cup of coffee on the go, I made myself a cappuccino. It looked so good that I had to take a picture.
Last night I tried something new. A pen and ink drawing that I went back and added some watercolor to. I was happy with the results until I smudged the ink (upper right part of the tree). Oh well, I guess I'll try it again...
After almost three weeks of illness I think that we're all getting better. Thank goodness!! So Benny is up to his old tricks again, like putting things in the toilet, erasing messages on the answering machine, trying to climb into the dishwasher and a new trick...getting into the toy box.
