Down Come the Walls!

Jim took the wall down that separated our kitchen from the new mudroom. It was a lot more difficult than it looked because we have about 2 inches of drywall in our ceiling, and not the new flimsy kind. It was the old kind that is about as hard as a rock.

Look what I can do!!

Photobucket
I was going to take away his binky when he turns two, which is right around the corner. I think it's going to be tougher than I thought!
BTW, I'm experimenting with making my pictures bigger so that they're a little more visible. Maybe this is too big...

Trip to Bass Pro Shops Trail

We go to the Bass Pro Shops a lot in Foxboro on rainy days to entertain the kids. We didn't know until recently that they have a trail out back that goes around a large bog with tons of frogs, turtles and snakes. The kids had a great time catching the frogs and looking at the snakes and turtles.

Benny being cute...

Jack learns to ride his bike!

He actually learned a couple weeks ago but I haven't gotten around to posting about it until now.

Trim Completed

Here's a picture of the house with all the trim up. We have since moved the bushes under the farmer's porch, replaced some trim around the garage that was rotted and put in some lights. We had to update our electrical panel which meant cutting some holes in the ceiling of the finished basement and also living without electricity for a couple days. That was fun... Jim has also framed up most of the rooms upstairs and is working on hiring a plumber which is turning out to be a job in itself!

First Day of First Grade!

Nora headed off today for her first day of first grade. I can't believe that she will be gone all day long. I will miss her so much! She went off without a hitch although last night there were a few tears when she realized that she would be gone all day. I'm glad that she has so many friends at her bus stop. It definitely made it easier for her to get on the bus.
